Periscope S2G stands for Periscope S2G (formerly BidSync). Periscope S2G is a commercial bid notification platform, previously known as BidSync. Many local agencies post solicitations there, and vendors register to download documents, get notified, and in some cases submit responses.
Registering to see an agency's solicitations is often free, while paid subscriptions offer broader notifications. Agencies using it may no longer send their own notices, so vendors manage their own notification settings and commodity codes in the system.
Why it matters to a small contractor
If an agency points you to Periscope S2G (or BidSync), register and set up the right commodity codes so you get that agency's notices. Older documents may still say BidSync, which is the same system's former name.

A small electrical contractor sees a Florida county now posts on Periscope S2G. It registers, adds the county and its NIGP codes to its notification settings, and receives the next lighting bid.
