BidBuy (Illinois) (Illinois BidBuy eProcurement system)
BidBuy (Illinois) stands for Illinois BidBuy eProcurement system. BidBuy is the State of Illinois' eProcurement system. State agencies use it to post solicitations, and vendors register to receive notifications and submit electronic quotes.
Each solicitation lists its own requirements, such as forms, certifications, and pricing sheets. Illinois also has supplier diversity programs, such as BEP certification, that can appear as goals on state contracts.
Why it matters to a small contractor
Registering in BidBuy and keeping your login healthy matters, because losing account access near a deadline can cost you a bid. Set up recovery options and more than one user if you can.
Example
A small janitorial company registers in BidBuy and receives a notice for cleaning at a state office building. It reviews the forms, attaches the signed documents to its quote, and submits a day early.
BidBuy (Illinois): common questions
