OpenGov Procurement (OpenGov Procurement portal)

OpenGov Procurement stands for OpenGov Procurement portal. OpenGov Procurement is an online platform that public agencies use to write, post, and manage solicitations. Each agency has its own portal page, and vendors create an account to follow agencies, ask questions, and submit responses.

Responses are often built section by section inside the platform, with required questions, document uploads, and sometimes a price form. The system will not let you submit until all required parts are complete.

Why it matters to a small contractor

Start your OpenGov response early and work through every required section, since one missing field blocks submission. Download the confirmation once your response is complete.

Example

A small grounds company responds to a county's mowing RFP on OpenGov. It answers each required question, uploads its insurance certificate, fills in the price table, and submits before the deadline.

OpenGov Procurement: common questions

Does OpenGov charge vendors?

Vendor accounts on public agency portals are typically free.

Why won't OpenGov let me submit?

Usually a required section or field is incomplete. The platform shows which sections still need attention.
