NC eVP (North Carolina Electronic Vendor Portal)

NC eVP stands for North Carolina Electronic Vendor Portal. The Electronic Vendor Portal is North Carolina's online system for state solicitations. It is managed through the North Carolina Department of Administration's Division of Purchase and Contract. State agencies, community colleges, and universities post opportunities there.

Vendors register to get a vendor number, receive notifications, and respond. Some solicitations require electronic responses only, while others still ask for mailed or delivered responses, so read each one.

Why it matters to a small contractor

North Carolina state bids often expect your eVP vendor number on cover pages and forms, so register before you start a response. Electronic-only solicitations will not accept a late upload, so do not wait until the last hour.

Example

A small grounds company registers on NC eVP and responds to a community college mowing solicitation that accepts electronic responses only. It enters its eVP vendor number on the cover sheet and uploads a day early.
