FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation)
FBI stands for Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the main investigative agency of the Department of Justice. It handles federal crimes, counterterrorism, and counterintelligence.
The FBI buys IT, forensic equipment, vehicles, training, and facility services for its headquarters, field offices, and training sites. Much of its work requires security screening.
Why it matters to a small contractor
FBI work often requires background checks or clearances, even for facility work. Trades can still find opportunities at field offices and training facilities, but plan extra lead time for worker screening.
Example
A janitorial company wins a subcontract to clean an FBI field office after its staff pass the required background checks.
