What the job is
Schedule: 186 school/staff service days annually, plus periodic cleaning priced using 61 non-school days. Hopkins cleaning starts at 2:30 p.m., with a custodian present until 10:00 p.m.; elementary cleaning starts at 3:30 p.m., with a custodian present until 9:30 p.m.
Routine cleaning: Restroom and locker-room disinfection, trash removal, vacuuming, floor cleaning, surface cleaning and dusting throughout both buildings; weekly full floor washing in gyms, cafeterias and common areas.
Periodic work: Annual floor stripping and waxing, carpet extraction, interior/exterior window cleaning, desk and chair cleaning, restroom deep cleaning, vacation-week wet floor cleaning, and occasional mowing and weed trimming.
Equipment and staffing: Floor scrubbers are provided; include other equipment, supplies, labor and supervision. Personnel must meet school background-check requirements.
Pricing: Separate annual prices for each building for 2026–2029, starting approximately November 15, 2026; first year prorated through June 30, 2027.
Mandatory walkthrough: October 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., starting at Hopkins Academy and continuing at Hadley Elementary.
