What the job is
Cropping: Follow the prescribed corn/soybean rotation with cover crops on designated fields. No double cropping. Cover crops cannot be terminated before March 15 or roller-crimped after May 15.
Inputs and operation: Personally farm the land and supply all labor, equipment, seed, fertilizer, and cover crop planting and termination.
Restrictions: No dicamba, neonicotinoid-treated soybean seed, biosolids, or fall nitrogen except for wheat. Fall tillage requires approval; spring tillage begins after March 1.
Soil and insurance: Maintain required soil fertility, provide second-year soil testing, and carry general liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence/$2 million aggregate, $1 million auto liability, and workers’ compensation as required.
Pricing: Quote rent payable per acre and annual totals for each crop year, plus the five-year total. Leasehold taxes are additional; 2025 taxes were $2,231.70.
