What the job is
Capacity and term: Year-round care for approximately 40 school-aged children, anticipated January 1, 2027–December 31, 2031.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6–9 a.m. and 3–6 p.m. on school days, excluding Washington State holidays; 6 a.m.–6 p.m. during school breaks and designated non-school days.
Space and supplies: Approximately 3,212 square feet of leased classroom and indoor recreation space, with outdoor space scheduled per use. Provider supplies equipment, materials, and program resources.
Qualifications: Valid Washington childcare license, at least five years of licensed program experience, qualified staff with required background checks, and compliant staffing ratios.
Programming and payments: Structured educational, recreational, and social activities; meals and snacks; acceptance of Working Connections Child Care payments.
Transportation: Describe school transportation options, schools served, associated costs, or arrangements expected from families.
Insurance: General liability of at least $2 million per occurrence, employer’s liability of $1 million, workers’ compensation, property coverage, and abuse/molestation coverage of $1 million.
Pricing: Include childcare rates, additional fees, annual operating budget, startup costs, and proposed annual lease fee plus applicable 12.84% leasehold excise tax.
