What the job is
Site Area: Survey approximately 30,344 acres across the four locations.
Fieldwork: Delineate and assess vegetation communities using aerial imagery and systematic ground surveys.
Classification: Identify vegetation series, alliances, associations, conditions, and fuel models using recognized Texas Natural Heritage, NatureServe, National Vegetation Classification, and Rothermel standards.
Deliverables: Provide survey methods and results reports, vegetation maps, labeled photographs, and all associated GIS data with FGDC-compliant metadata.
GIS Standards: Deliver data with 1–5 meter accuracy in UTM NAD 83 as a spatial-data-compliant geodatabase or ArcGIS shapefiles.
Experience: Personnel should have at least five years of vegetation survey experience.
Schedule: Complete the work within a 12-month performance period.
