Personnel: Armed, uniformed, off-duty police officers or sheriffs with current commissions in good standing.
Recreation centers: Dates vary from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027; Monday–Friday, noon–8 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; four-hour split shifts permitted.
Pools: June 5–August 22, 2027, daily from noon–8 p.m.
Duties: Patrol facilities and adjacent grounds, control access, respond to incidents, maintain reports, interact with youth, and assist with recreation activities when requested.
Qualifications: Ohio Class A or C company license, required officer registrations, background checks, and certification of the specified 120-hour Private Police Academy course.
Support: Provide mobile communications, supervision, at least three unannounced inspections per officer shift each week, and additional officers with 24 hours’ notice.
