What the job is
Scope: Monthly in-person agency visits, traffic safety outreach, enforcement planning support, meeting and conference attendance, and progress reporting.
Qualifications: Retired sworn peace officer with extensive law enforcement experience; must reside full-time in one of the seven counties and remain retired throughout the engagement. No subcontracting permitted.
Term and hours: Anticipated November 15, 2026–September 30, 2027, with up to four annual extensions; approximately 1,500 hours per 12-month period.
Travel and equipment: Frequent travel using your own insured vehicle, including some overnight trips; computer with Microsoft Office 365, email, and telephone messaging required.
Pricing: Fixed hourly rate inclusive of travel, equipment, supplies, and all other expenses; maximum $100,000 per 12-month period.
Insurance: $2 million general liability, automobile liability, and professional liability coverage; workers’ compensation if applicable.
