Coverage: Campus entrances, interior roads, designated parking lots, building entrance walkways, ramps, steps, and storm drains.
Response: Available 24/7; arrive within one hour of notification for snow events of two or more inches and clear designated areas within two to three hours of notification.
Minimum resources: One 5-ton plow truck with salt spreader, one 3/4-ton truck with hydraulic plow and salt spreader, two skid loaders with buckets and plows, equipment operators, two crews of four shovelers with powered clearing equipment, and an on-site supervisor. Backup equipment and operators required.
Deicing: Hospital supplies salt and magnesium chloride; provide a salt price per ton if hospital supplies are unavailable.
Pricing: Provide all-inclusive rates per occurrence for salting the entire campus, roads only, and parking lots only; and snow removal with salting for roads only, roads and parking lots, the entire campus, and designated building entrance walkways only.
