What the job is
Survey and design: Assess existing infrastructure, calculate heat loads, and provide Maryland PE-sealed designs and required BWI permits. Calculate existing G-series base stations as D-series units and include two additional D-series units in the baseline.
Capacity and pricing: Provide separate costs for design/engineering, installation, equipment/materials, and maintenance. Price baseline capacity plus 10% expansion, with a separate 20% expansion option.
Cooling and controls: Maintain 65–80°F normally and 60–90°F at all times. Include redundant units with load sharing, orphan mode, lead/lag controls, temperature and summary alarms, emergency ventilation, insulation as needed, and uniform rack cooling.
Installation: Include electrical upgrades and Motorola R56 grounding/bonding, GPR scanning before drilling or cutting, and uninterrupted 9th-floor conditioning. Coordinate parking and traffic impacts.
Completion and coverage: Complete installation within 180 calendar days of authorization to start; include testing, as-built documentation, and a 24-month maintenance and full parts-and-labor warranty.
