What the job is
Crew and equipment: One operator with a plow truck and salter, one operator with a skid steer and pusher box, and one laborer/shoveler with hand tools per storm.
Truck specifications: Minimum ½-ton, four-wheel drive, cab-operated angle plow and bed-mounted salter, with tire chains as needed.
Backup equipment: One equivalent reserve plow truck with salter and one reserve skid steer.
Response time: Begin operations within one hour of notification; coordinate with the sidewalk snow removal crew.
Pricing: Provide separate hourly rates for the truck/operator, skid steer/operator, and laborer, plus a per-ton rate for treated salt supplied and applied. Include fuel, maintenance, insurance, and overhead. Also provide hourly rates for a loader, loader with pusher, and tri-axle hauling truck.
Minimum payment: Three hours per call-out and a $2,500 seasonal minimum.
