What the job is
Translation: Per-word rates for standard general, premium general with a separate proofreader/editor, and scientific/technical translation, including foreign-language scientific articles into English.
Languages: Arabic, Armenian, Khmer, German, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mixteco, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Zapotec.
Web and formatting: Accessible HTML and document translation; quote Word, Publisher, and InDesign formatting per page, images per unit, PowerPoint per slide, and desktop publishing, editing, proofreading, and linguistic quality assurance per hour.
Interpretation: Hourly in-person and telephone/virtual rates for Khmer, Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and other available languages; include necessary equipment and technicians.
Turnaround: Translation within 3–15 business days, rush work within 3 working days, and in-person interpretation potentially on 1 working day’s notice.
Personnel: At least 3 years of professional translation/interpretation experience, including 2 years in complex scientific subjects, acquired within the past 5 years.
Pricing: Provide all-inclusive rates by fiscal year for FY 2026/2027 through October 31, 2029, and identify any travel charges.
