Scaling: Hand scaling, mechanical scaling, or both, including loose rock, soil, and vegetation removal. Identify regions served and available excavator types: standard, long-reach, or walking/spider.
Related services: Rockfall screen and fence repairs, rock reduction, hazard tree removal, licensed herbicide application, temporary rockfall barriers, traffic control, cleanup, and disposal as needed.
Personnel: Hand scalers need 500 documented scaling hours within five years; hand supervisors need 1,500 within ten years. Mechanical operators and supervisors need 1,000 within five years; operators also need five similar projects within three years.
Pricing: Provide mobilization by region and equipment type, hourly labor and equipment rates, screen repairs per square foot, support repairs per element, disposal per cubic yard, barriers per week, traffic equipment per day, and per diem. Include all tools, materials, and personnel, with separate prevailing wage rates where applicable. Initial rates must remain firm for 12 months; work volume is not guaranteed.
