What the job is
Fieldwork: Map accessible bedrock exposures at 1:24,000 scale, documenting lithology, mineralogy, contacts, faults, and structural measurements; obtain private-property access permission and provide digital photographs.
Map deliverables: Seamless PDF map and GeMS-format GIS files, including exposure polygons, contact confidence data, standard geologic symbols, map unit descriptions, and at least one geologic cross-section. Reconcile boundaries with adjacent mapping.
Laboratory work: As needed, include up to 15 thin-section preparations with petrographic analysis, two crystallization-age samples, and two detrital zircon analyses; provide reports, digital results, and interpretations.
Report and reviews: Provide a 550–5,500-word companion geology report, attend a one-day field conference and an online map review, and incorporate review comments. Final documents must meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
Schedule: Two-year mapping project, with completion no later than July 15, 2029.
