Qualifications: FDOT-qualified laboratory, certified technicians, and Florida-registered Professional Engineer supervision; testing to applicable FDOT, ASTM, or AASHTO standards.
Geotechnical: Soil/rock borings, penetration testing, coring, sampling, laboratory analysis, groundwater and percolation evaluations, and restoration of test locations. Retain samples for at least 180 days.
Materials testing: Field and laboratory testing of soils, backfill, road base/subbase, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
Specialty services: Roofing evaluations, environmental sampling, lead/asbestos testing and monitoring, and foundation, pile, weld, and coating inspections as needed.
Scheduling and reports: Typically 24-hour scheduling notice, response within two hours, and nights/weekends/holidays when needed. Preliminary materials test reports within one hour, signed reports within 24 hours, and geotechnical reports within three weeks.
Pricing: Please provide hourly and unit rates, including mobilization, equipment, reporting, and after-hours charges. Quantities and specific services will vary by assignment.
