What the job is
Scope: Mechanical plowing only; no salting, sanding, brine, de-icing, or anti-icing. Provide operators, vehicles, plows, fuel, maintenance, and backup equipment.
Schedule: Generally December 15–March 15, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Continuous storm coverage with 12-hour shifts and relief operators as needed.
Response: Acknowledge activation within 30 minutes and stage vehicles ready to work within two hours.
Vehicles: Minimum 8,500-pound GVWR, 4WD where applicable, front-mounted plow or approved pushing attachment, and no more than 10 model years old unless approved. Inspection and supplied GPS tracking required.
Experience: At least two consecutive winter seasons of comparable snow plowing, with appropriately licensed operators.
Pricing: Established all-inclusive rates are $170 per vehicle-hour for active plowing and $85 for preauthorized standby; travel and mobilization are unpaid, with no separate surcharges.
