Project coordination: Manage the project and support a maternal care task force transitioning into a regional consortium, including a steering committee and approximately four action teams meeting monthly virtually.
Landscape analysis: Analyze maternal and infant health data, conduct stakeholder interviews and consumer focus groups or listening sessions, and identify service gaps and barriers to care.
Research and recommendations: Complete a national scan of rural care solutions and recommend strategies to improve perinatal care access and coordination.
Pilot support: Support implementation and evaluation of a community health worker and/or doula pilot, targeting enrollment of at least 10 pregnant or postpartum women.
Schedule: Begin coordination January 4, 2027; launch the pilot February 15; present initial findings March 1; complete analysis and recommendations May 31; and complete the initial pilot evaluation June 30, 2027.
