What the job is
Existing Conditions: Inventory and map sidewalks, bikeways, crossings, connectivity gaps, barriers, crash data, traffic volumes, and walking/biking patterns.
Engagement: Conduct surveys, workshops, focus groups, walking audits, and related outreach with students, parents, staff, schools, and stakeholders.
Recommendations: Identify and prioritize safety improvements, including short- and long-term strategies, planning-level cost estimates, funding sources, and partnership opportunities.
Deliverables: Prepare an existing conditions report, prioritized project list, implementation roadmap, phased action plan, grant application support, and final safety audit.
Coordination: Attend agency meetings and hold monthly project meetings with the Village.
