Mulching: Estimated 30 acres; cut vegetation near ground level, including sand pines and cabbage palms, while preserving longleaf pines, slash pines, turkey oaks, and designated species.
Chopping: Estimated 30 acres of roller chopping to reduce vegetation and disrupt roots; treatment depth depends on site conditions.
Pasture mowing: Estimated 50 acres of grasses and woody vegetation under 3 feet tall.
Firebreak creation: Estimated 1,000 linear feet of 8-foot-wide bare-soil line; clear vegetation up to 15-inch trunk diameter, rake roots, scatter debris without piles, and smooth with an inline harrow.
Maintenance: Estimated 158,400 linear feet each of trail/road mowing at least 8 feet wide and firebreak mowing 25 feet wide; disk another estimated 52,800 linear feet at least 8 feet wide using a disc harrow or tiller, with no ploughs.
Site protection: Include all labor, materials, equipment suitable for deep sandy soil, and onsite supervision; minimize ground disturbance and protect wildlife, burrows, and marked sensitive areas.
