What the job is
Scope: Snow plowing, de-icing, material spreading, snow loading, hauling, and disposal.
Service period: December 1, 2026–June 30, 2027; as-needed storm operations primarily December–April.
Equipment: 8 Class 8 dump trucks (29,001 GVW or greater) with 10–12 ft. hydraulic plows and spreaders; 4 Class 5/550 trucks and 3 one-ton 4WD trucks with plows and spreaders; 8 front-end loaders with minimum 3-cubic-yard buckets; 12 tri-axle dump trucks; and 4 tractors with dump trailers. Qualified operators required for all units.
Response: 24/7 availability, arrival within one hour of call-out, and route deployment within 30 minutes. Include relief operators, storm coordination, and GPS tracking or compatible communications.
Pricing: Provide hourly rates by equipment type, including operators, fuel, maintenance, repairs, supervision, and attachments. Rates must remain firm through the service period; qualifying call-outs have a four-hour minimum.
Insurance: Snow-plow liability endorsement; general liability of $1 million per occurrence/$2 million aggregate; $1 million auto and umbrella coverage; statutory workers’ compensation and $500,000 employers’ liability.
Labor: Include applicable wage costs, with minimum hourly pay of $21.95 with benefits or $22.95 without benefits.
