What the job is
Physician Qualifications: California-licensed M.D. or D.O., board-certified in Emergency Medicine, with an active DEA registration; provide at least one qualified backup physician.
Clinical Oversight: Review patient care reports, field forms, protocol compliance, clinical trends, and corrective actions, generally within 10 business days.
Program Oversight: Support ALS/FRALS quality improvement, controlled substances and medications, public-access defibrillation, infection control, medical equipment review, and regulatory compliance.
Training and Meetings: Provide classroom instruction at least monthly and attend Medical Services Division meetings at least quarterly, in person or online.
Reporting: Prepare quarterly clinical and quality-improvement reports, annual program reviews, performance metrics, and requested meeting summaries.
Term and Experience: Three-year engagement with a two-year renewal option; provider must have at least five years of medical oversight experience.
