DeviceReplace existing Watts 2-inch Model 009M2 backflow device due to failed inspection.
Concrete padInstall minimum 4-inch thick, 4,000 PSI concrete pad, 6 ft x 4 ft or large enough to extend 6 inches beyond the security cage footprint on all sides.
Pad reinforcement#3 rebar at 18 inches on center each way, or approved 6x6 welded wire mesh alternate.
Security cageInstall insulation cover and security cage over the new backflow prevention assembly.
TestingPerform backflow test and provide passing test results to the site contact and local jurisdiction.
ScheduleWork hours are Monday-Friday, 9 AM-4 PM; water interruptions must be coordinated and limited to 4 hours at a time.
RequirementsContractor must hold a current C-36 Plumbing Contractor license and be an approved local backflow device inspector.
