What the job is
Design: Assess existing conditions, develop library space programming, and prepare conceptual through final construction documents while preserving the historic building.
Engineering: Plan hazardous material abatement and complete MEP modernization; coordinate structural, fire safety, utilities, communications, security, and interior design services as needed.
Sustainability: Include LEED registration, documentation, submissions, related fees, and building systems commissioning.
Construction support: Provide cost estimates, construction administration, site visits, monthly progress meetings, submittal and RFI reviews, and close-out documents.
Team: Include a local architecture firm as lead or subconsultant, with library renovation and historic preservation experience.
Schedule: Design anticipated February 2027–March 2028, construction June 2028–July 2029, and final close-out December 2029.
