What the job is
Project area and schedule: 193 acres; work from October 2026 through July 2027.
Hydrologic assessment: Assess streams, ditches, and wetlands; recommend locations for 3–4 monitoring stations; analyze six months of water-level data collected and supplied by the site team. Conduct synoptic stream-flow and discharge measurements using your own equipment.
Elevation data: Ground-truth existing LiDAR using high-accuracy GPS/RTK with approximately 1–3 cm accuracy; update the DEM and collect supplemental ditch and road profiles and cross sections as needed.
Hydraulic modeling: Build and calibrate a HEC-RAS 2D model for existing conditions and design storms, then evaluate restoration concepts.
Deliverables: Conceptual hydrologic restoration designs and a final report documenting model calibration, simulations, recommendations, and potential water impacts on neighboring properties.
Field access: Access roads are walkable but impassable to vehicles; parking is available off Savannah Road and Whites Crossing Road. Expect wet conditions in winter and spring.
