What the job is
Schedule and pricing: Estimated 20 service days during December 2026–June 2027; please provide a daily rate and total price.
Availability: On-call response to trapping and nest sites within 12 hours of notice; independent work and a vehicle capable of off-road mountain access required.
Capture experience: Experience with eagle rocket nets and explosives safety, manual and remote bow nets, net launchers, and fish traps with capture nooses; more than 75 eagles captured.
Handling and sampling: Banding, patagial tagging, blood and feather sampling, avian influenza sampling, cellular transmitter attachment, and ageing/sexing; experience with more than 75 eagles banded and fitted with telemetry and more than 75 aged/sexed.
Nest access and credentials: Experience sampling more than 50 Bald Eagle nests, completed tree-climber training, and a current bird-banding permit covering the required activities.
