What the job is
Coverage: Statewide, with ongoing and temporary assignments scheduled as needed.
Staffing: Licensed unarmed security officers age 21 or older, with replacements provided within two hours for absences or no-shows.
Response Time: New security placement requests must be staffed within six hours.
Duties: Protect people and property, patrol facilities, secure entrances, supervise youth areas, confiscate contraband, de-escalate incidents, and contact law enforcement when necessary.
Screening: Officers must complete required fingerprint-based criminal background checks before assignment.
Training: Officers must complete required security expectations, trauma-informed practice, situational awareness, and verbal and hands-on de-escalation training, with annual refreshers.
Pricing: Provide standard and overtime/holiday hourly rates per officer, inclusive of supervision, uniforms, equipment, licensing, screening, training, insurance, and related costs.
Term: December 15, 2026 through December 14, 2031.
