What the job is
Modeling: Phased watershed modeling using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS; update and integrate existing 2D models, verify critical drainage structures, and calibrate against historical events.
Flood mapping: Map existing and future conditions, design storms, and historical floods, including depths, durations, roadway overtopping, and exposed structures.
Dashboard and forecasting: Develop and maintain a secure, hosted web dashboard integrating rainfall, stream-stage, tidal, and camera data, with automated forecasts targeting updates at least every six hours and configurable alerts.
Mitigation planning: Prioritize projects, develop conceptual plans and benefit-cost analyses, and deliver initial recommendations during the first or second year.
Supporting services: Monitoring network evaluation and installation capability, future-growth analysis, on-call development review, and stormwater standards recommendations.
Handover: Provide models, GIS data, code, documentation, training, and an operations and maintenance plan.
