What the job is
Programming: Free, family-friendly public events celebrating Black culture, with historical education, cultural performances, youth activities, and support for Black-owned businesses.
Coordination: Manage performers, food and craft vendors, volunteers, community partnerships, sponsorships, and fundraising.
Production: Handle equipment, site layout, setup and teardown, event operations, safety planning, permits, and marketing.
Financial management: Provide an itemized budget, operate on a reimbursement basis, and deliver a post-event attendance, financial, and community impact report.
Eligibility: Registered nonprofit or confirmed nonprofit fiscal sponsor required.
Schedule: Planning is projected to begin January 4, 2027; celebration dates and venues remain to be confirmed.
