What they need

EquipmentTwo condensing natural-gas water heaters: one 500,000 BTU/hr unit with 114.7-gallon storage and 654 GPH recovery; one 1,100,000 BTU/hr unit with 99.4-gallon storage and 1,438 GPH recovery. Recovery rates are at a 90°F temperature rise.
Basis of designPVI CQT500 and CQT1100; acceptable manufacturers include PVI, AERCO, Lochinvar Armor, and AO Smith. Both units require 5:1 turndown and 120V, single-phase, 60 Hz power.
InstallationRemove and dispose of existing units; include water, recirculation, gas, electrical, venting, combustion air, condensate neutralization, valves, accessories, permits, and inspections.
CompletionInclude testing, startup, maintenance training, and a 15-year storage-tank warranty. Complete within 120 calendar days after authorization to proceed; coordinate shutdowns and secure-facility access.
