• Local use requirementdistribute at least 25% of total board feet to local users, and state the proposed percentage with the bid.
• Research plot workremove merchantable sawlogs from a designated 1-acre plot and transport sawlogs to 74 Cook Rd, Vineyard Haven, MA; cut remaining trees from the eastern half and leave in place; cut and chip remaining trees from the western half into empty truck(s); haul chips to Goodale Construction Company, 164 Edgartown Vineyard Haven Road, Oak Bluffs, MA for weighing before disposal.
• Equipment and operating requirementsmachinery must be approved, capable of felling and whole tree removal, and carry working fire extinguishers and spill kit; provide approved bike-path crossing protection; machine operators must hold current Massachusetts Timber Harvester Licenses.
• Schedulework is estimated for 4 months, anticipated to start October 13, 2026, and must be completed by April 30, 2027; regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm unless otherwise approved.
