• CuttingCut all juniper and pinyon up to 16 inches in diameter, measured 6 inches above ground, except designated leave trees. Maximum stump height is 6 inches; remove remaining live limbs.
• SlashPile material exceeding 3 inches in diameter into compact, teepee-shaped piles at least 6 feet tall, taller than wide, and clear of retained trees. Smaller material may be lopped to a maximum depth of 24 inches.
• Crew and equipmentProvide at least 10 crew members, an on-site English-literate supervisor, chainsaws, and GPS or map-enabled smartphones.
• Site conditionsElevation ranges from 6,100–7,500 feet; slopes reach 45%, mostly below 10%. Access includes up to a half-mile walk. Maintain 50-foot buffers on each side of trails and keep public access clear.
• ScheduleBegin within 7 calendar days of authorization and complete by December 31, 2027. No work April 1–August 31 without prior approval.
• Qualifications and pricingCurrent prequalification for this treatment type and acreage is required. Provide per-acre and total pricing covering all labor, equipment, materials, mobilization, and operating costs, with no fuel surcharges.
