What the job is
Scope: Supply and install replacement doors and hardware at scheduled locations, modifying existing frames as needed. Include labor, materials, equipment, removal, and disposal.
Security hardware: Classroom locks must lock from inside the room and provide a visual lock-status indicator. Include hinges, closers, exit devices, and accessories as scheduled; meet applicable accessibility and fire-rating requirements.
Special doors: Provide stainless steel doors and frames at the six scheduled Northwestern pool openings; verify door sizes, glazing, and handing against the schedules and field conditions.
Keying: Include building-compatible master keying, six-pin interchangeable cores, two key cabinets, and two compatible Pro Lok Blue Punch key machines or approved equivalents.
Work conditions: Buildings remain occupied. Work hours are 4:00 p.m.–midnight weekdays during the school year and 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. weekdays during summer. Include dust, noise, and safety barriers, applicable after-hours coverage costs, and required lead/asbestos remediation and monitoring.
Completion: Complete within 365 days of order issuance; include required spare hardware, testing, maintenance manuals, record drawings, and a two-year installation warranty.
Pricing: Provide separate prices for each location and a combined total.
