Restraining rail ties100 new prestressed concrete cross ties with complete fasteners, compatible with the tie anchor system and twin 115RE rails with a 2¼-inch flangeway gap.
Tie specificationsAREMA Chapter 30, Part 4; 8 feet 3 inches long, ±¼ inch; maximum 700 pounds; 115RE rail, 1:40 cant, and 4 feet 8½ inches gauge; minimum 7,000 psi concrete strength at 28 days. Geometry must match the reference drawings.
Fasteners per tieTwo insulating elastomeric rail seat pads, four tension clamps, four threaded inserts, four angled guide plates, and four lag screws with washers. Ship loose components separately.
Welding kits60 Orgo-Thermit rail welding kits, each including degradable crucible with cap, thermit portion, molds, diverging plug, 10-pound bag of luting sand, and igniter.
