Location: City of Wichita Municipal Court, Wichita, Kansas
Staffing Minimum: At least 3 public defenders for morning sessions and 4 for afternoon sessions; coverage also required for Drug Court and Mental Health Court
Case Volume: Approximately 9,283 cases / 5,132 defendants annually (based on 2025 figures)
Scope: All dockets including criminal, DUI, DV, drug, mental health, diversion hearings, probation revocations, appeals de novo, and in-custody client visits at Sedgwick County Detention Center
Contract Term: 1 year with four 1-year renewal options
Malpractice Insurance Required: Minimum $100,000 per occurrence, deductible not to exceed $5,000
