Scope: Resolve disputes between schools and parents of students with disabilities through effective mediation.
Qualifications: Kentucky attorney in good standing, Kentucky-certified special education teacher, or completion of 40 hours of qualifying mediation training. Please include relevant mediation and special education experience.
Availability: State your available hours per week and any scheduling restrictions, with capacity for at least 80 hours annually. Training may be required.
Travel: Statewide travel required, with possible overnight stays.
Period: Anticipated January 1, 2027–June 30, 2028; no minimum workload guaranteed.
Compensation: Fixed at $75 per hour, plus reimbursement for authorized travel, training, and other approved expenses.
