What the job is
Volume and season: Approximately 620 regular-season games and 80 tournament games annually, December 1–March 31; multi-year arrangement with two renewal options.
Schedule: Weeknights starting at 6:30 p.m., averaging three games per night; Saturdays starting at 9:00 a.m., averaging up to 10 games; Sunday tournament games after 9:00 a.m.
Coverage: Provide officials, substitutes, uniforms, whistles, stopwatches, and transportation. Rotate officials between facilities every two weeks and provide placement schedules.
Rules and qualifications: Follow current NFHS basketball rules with league modifications. Tournament assignments require experienced officials, including six years of combined experience for county and district tournaments; district officials must be registered high school officials. State tournaments require at least two approved officials, each with three years of certified association experience. No official may work more than four consecutive games.
Pricing: Provide separate all-inclusive per-game rates for regular-season and tournament games, with annual totals based on the estimated quantities.
