What the job is
Mowing and edging: Mow the football field 3 times weekly during the growing season at 1.25 inches using athletic-field equipment. Mow surrounding areas, trim around structures, edge paved and landscaped areas, and remove debris before mowing.
Fertilization: Provide soil testing and 4–6 fertilizer applications annually, adjusted based on test results; include fertilizer and chemicals.
Weed and pest control: Apply herbicides as needed, treat the entire facility including parking areas for fire ants twice annually, provide 3 seasonal mole cricket treatments on the game field, and apply fungicide to overseeded turf for Brown Patch and Pythium prevention.
Aeration and overseeding: Aerate the field 1–2 times annually and overseed to maintain turf density and repair worn areas.
Irrigation: Monitor system operation, report leaks or damaged heads, and adjust watering seasonally.
Qualifications: Florida business licensing and a valid Florida Commercial Pesticide Applicator License are required.
