What the job is
Plate testing: Guided bend testing under ANSI/AWS D1.1 for 36 welders in vertical and overhead positions, totaling 72 plates, using SMAW E7018 1/8-inch or FCAW NR-232.
Pipe testing: Guided bend testing under ASME Section IX for 24 welders in the 6G position, totaling 24 pipes. Customer prepares and delivers plate and pipe specimens to your facility.
Additional testing: Puddle welds on metal decking using SMAW E7010 1/8-inch, sheet-to-sheet side seam welds, and light gauge stud welds using .035-inch flux core wire; 36 welders per category. Include grooved butt and fillet weld testing rates.
Procedures and records: Prepare applicable welding procedures, including E7018 and NR-232 on ASTM A36 steel, and provide qualification records and certification cards after each testing cycle. Include specimen disposal.
On-site witnessing: Provide a certified welding inspector or certified associate welding inspector for 1–12 visits lasting 1–6 hours each.
Schedule and pricing: Anticipated service period January 1, 2027–December 31, 2029; weekdays, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Please provide separate procedure and testing unit rates, including labor, equipment, materials, travel, and site entry time.
