What the job is
Coverage: 24/7 towing and impound services with a maximum 20-minute response time, including collision debris cleanup and special event support.
Fleet: At least three flatbed tow trucks; a minimum of five trucks available Monday–Friday, 3–7 p.m., including three flatbeds.
Storage: At least 20,000 square feet within four miles of Pasadena city limits, with paving, secure fencing, lighting, surveillance, and enclosed evidence storage and inspection space with an OSHA-approved hydraulic lift.
Vehicle releases: Public office hours Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with after-hours releases and 24/7 dispatch.
Qualifications: At least three years of police towing experience, references in good standing, licensed commercial drivers, and required business licenses and permits.
Insurance: $2 million general liability per occurrence, $1 million auto liability, $250,000 each for garagekeepers and on-hook/cargo coverage, statutory workers’ compensation, and $1 million employer’s liability.
Term and rates: Three-year initial term. Published rates are $185.59 per towing hour and $51.55 per storage day, subject to updates; a $22,500 franchise fee applies, payable quarterly.
