We are seeking quotes for manufacture of valve disk components (stem, disks, and disk locknuts) for a shipboard disk valve, delivered FOB Destination for the Navy (NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg).
Scope of work: Manufacture the valve stem (item 32), disks (item 34) and disk locknuts (item 36) using government-furnished NSN 1H9510-01-495-9543X2 material, supplied in 36-inch pieces, 2 inches in diameter, at no cost.
Critical material: This is Special Emphasis material (Level I) for a crucial shipboard system, so special control procedures apply.
Quality requirements: ISO 9001 is required, and the Inspection and Test Plan (Data Item A001) may be waived if already on file at NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg, in which case ISO 9001 may also be waived.
Inspection and acceptance: DCMA source inspection and acceptance are required before shipping, and destination inspection or acceptance is not allowed.
Quote requirements: Quotes must include price per unit, first-batch lead time, monthly ship rate, offer validity, inspection, acceptance and pack CAGE locations, US manufacture status, POC, option pricing, and the feet of government material needed; unanswered questions make the quote inadequate.
Terms and options: One-year warranty after delivery, Buy American requirements, and a 365-day option for additional quantity; this is no longer a small business set-aside.
