What the job is
Data drops: Two Cat 6e CMP plenum cables per location: 71 blue and 11 yellow locations in the training facility, one yellow location in Hangar 100, and one blue location in Hangar 300.
Wireless drops: One Cat 6e CMP plenum cable with Cat 6e jacks per location: six blue and four yellow locations in the training facility, one yellow location in Hangar 100, and one blue location in Hangar 300.
Cabling requirements: Blue for Averett University and yellow for Danville Community College; support 10 Gbps, provide digital cable certifications, and use stainless steel faceplates.
Racks and termination: Two 48U open two-post racks, each with six 48-port patch panels, secured to the wall and floor. Separate blue and yellow drops by rack. Provide one 12U enclosed, lockable wall rack in each hangar, with patch panels and required link components. Terminate and label all cables. Interbuilding fiber links are provided by others.
Hardware: Supply and install one HPE Aruba CX 6405 v2 chassis, two HPE Aruba CX 6400 48-port modules, and six HPE 500 series access points—five in the training facility and one in Hangar 300. Refurbished hardware is acceptable; identify warranty coverage.
Installation: Include labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and permits. A Virginia Low Voltage (LVS) Contractor's License is required. Begin by November 9, 2026, with phased work coordinated with construction, currently expected to finish April 30, 2027.
