Continuing competence approval system: develop, administer, and maintain an online system for submission of approval applications, peer-review routing, online search of approved activities and accredited providers, and an online repository for Texas licensees to store and track completed continuing competence.
Application and peer-review processes: support course sponsor and individual licensee applications across continuing education, conferences, college courses, publications, manuscript review, grants, course development, guest lectures, and related physical therapy continuing competence activities.
Processing standard: completed applications must be processed within no more than four weeks.
Accredited provider and audit processes: provide processes for awarding accredited provider status, auditing approved courses and accredited providers, and maintaining a continuing competence approval policy manual.
Payments and reporting: manage application fee payments through a secured platform or gateway and provide quarterly administration reports to the Board.
Records and term: maintain continuing competence application records for four years and support an initial contract term from January 4, 2027 through December 31, 2031, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum service volume.
