What the job is
Fieldwork: Map accessible bedrock exposures, lithology, mineralogy, contacts, fractures, faults, and structural orientations; obtain permission for private-property access and provide field data and original digital photographs.
Laboratory work: Include analyses as needed, up to 15 thin sections with petrographic analysis, 15 whole-rock geochemistry samples, 2 crystallization-age samples, and 2 detrital zircon analyses.
Deliverables: PDF geologic map and GeMS-format GIS files with exposure polygons, contact confidence data, at least one geologic cross-section, and a 550–5,500-word companion report. Incorporate existing mapping and reconcile adjacent quadrangle boundaries.
Review: Attend a one-day field conference and an online map review, and incorporate revisions.
Schedule: Two-year project, with completion no later than July 15, 2029.
