What the job is
Scope: Mechanical and chemical treatment of all buckthorn using foliar treatment for plants up to 3 feet tall, basal bark treatment for taller stems, and cutting with stump treatment for trees over 2 inches in diameter.
Application: Hand/wand application only; no boom spraying. All chemicals are supplied.
Qualifications: Applicators must hold Minnesota commercial pesticide licenses in Categories A and J, or equivalent. Contractor and crew lead must have at least 2 years of relevant herbicide application experience.
Completion: Finish by June 30, 2027, with less than 6 inches of snow and outside heavy sap flow periods. At least 95% of visible stems requiring treatment must be properly treated, while protecting native trees and minimizing soil disturbance.
Pricing: Provide a price per acre and total for 16 acres, including labor, equipment, supplies, transportation, cleanup, and taxes.
