What the job is
Participants: Approximately 25 new superintendents annually, plus support for existing participants completing the program within two years of hire.
Training: Develop original modules totaling 42–72 hours per participant, covering required superintendent leadership topics and educator ethics. Online delivery is permitted; provide meeting space if proposing in-person sessions.
Staffing: Facilitators need at least five years of relevant practice experience. Mentors and executive coaches must have experience as Kentucky school superintendents.
Assessments and administration: Convene and staff a proficiency advisory committee, train assessors, provide mentoring, maintain participant records, and deliver annual progress reports, final completion reports, and aggregate feedback survey results.
Service period: July 1, 2027–June 30, 2028, with two potential two-year renewals.
Pricing: Provide itemized annual pricing for the initial year and renewal years, including curriculum development, delivery platform, facilitator and mentor fees, advisory committee costs, and all travel and meeting expenses. Maximum total annual cost is $200,000.
