What the job is
Scope: Supply containers, equipment, labor and transportation for landfill disposal of screenings, grit, dried/pelletized biosolids and dewatered biosolids.
Screenings and grit containers: Initially provide 22 roll-offs of 20 cubic yards, five roll-offs of 10 cubic yards and nine front-load containers of 2 cubic yards across 10 facilities. Additional sludge-screening containers will be needed at Hite Creek and Derek Guthrie.
Pickup schedule: Daily coordination and container replacement as needed at Morris Forman; weekly service at Southwest and Derek Guthrie; Monday/Wednesday/Friday service at Hite Creek; other pickups as needed.
Dried biosolids: Estimated 5,000 tons/year by semi-trailer plus 52 tons/year by a lined 30-cubic-yard roll-off. Trailer capacity must be at least 15 tons; loading is Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.
Dewatered biosolids: Estimated 10,000 tons/year during landfill hours and 10,000 tons/year after hours; 18–30% dry solids. Daytime service requires two tri-axle trailers, maximum 29 feet long, minimum 15-ton capacity. After-hours service requires four trailers, maximum 29 feet long, minimum 18-ton capacity, or seven 30-cubic-yard roll-offs, minimum 12-ton capacity.
Response and handling: Routine biosolids removal within 48 hours; daytime emergencies by 4 a.m. on the next landfill operating day; after-hours emergencies by 3 p.m. the next day. Empty after-hours loads by the end of the next business day. Provide covered, leakproof equipment, spill cleanup and required disposal permits.
Pricing: Quote per-container pickup rates for screenings/grit and per-ton rates for biosolids, including container supply, hauling, disposal and fuel, with no fuel surcharges. Service is as needed for one year, with four optional annual renewals; quantities are not guaranteed.
