What the job is
Mowing: April–October mowing, trimming, and edging: Brooks—300 acres approximately 7 times/year, plus 1 acre around the scale house 28 times/year; Chapin—4.8 acres 7 times/year; John’s Sludge Pond—2.7 acres 3 times/year.
Weed control: Treat fences, spillways, structures, and noxious weeds. Kansas pesticide applicator certification required in categories 3-A, 3-B, and either 6 or 7-C.
Erosion and settlement repairs: Up to 20,000 tons/year across the sites. Quote hourly labor/equipment rates for both supplied-fill and vendor-provided-fill options, plus per-ton topsoil and clay-like soil pricing. Clay-like soil permeability must not exceed 1 × 10-5 cm/second when compacted.
Fertilizing and seeding: Annually fertilize 304.8 acres with 10-20-10 at 50 lbs./acre. Seed up to 200 acres/year using a no-till drill, with a 15:1 Smooth Brome Grass/Annual Rye mix at 15 lbs./acre, followed by fertilizer.
Erosion matting: Up to 25,000 square yards/year of pinned Excelsior, Curlex, S75 single-net straw blankets, or approved equivalent.
Miscellaneous work: Up to 200 labor hours/year, primarily collecting blown trash before mowing.
Schedule and pricing: One-year term with four annual renewal options. Start within 5 days of request; complete scale-house mowing in 1 day and other work within 2 weeks. Include labor, materials, and equipment; itemize per-acre rates by site, repair hourly/material rates, matting per square yard, and miscellaneous hourly rates. You may quote individual service groups or any combination.
